HouseTurns Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of the HouseTurns app, provided by Creative Media Platforms, Van Maanenware 22, 8014 PP Zwolle, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 42017946 ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

HouseTurns lets members of a group (such as a student house or family) book shared things and spaces. The app is free. We may add, change or stop features; we will let you know in advance about major changes.

Your account

• You must be 16 or older. Younger family members use HouseTurns through a parent's or guardian's account.
• Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details secret. You are responsible for what happens with your account.
• You can delete your account in the app at any time.

Groups and admins

• Whoever creates a group becomes its admin. Admins can invite members, change roles, remove members, set up resources and rules, and approve, change or cancel bookings.
• Agreements within your group (who may use what, and when) are between you and your group. HouseTurns records them but is not a party to disputes between group members.

What is not allowed

• Using the app for anything unlawful or to harass others, for example with offensive group names or notes.
• Trying to access groups or data you are not a member of, or disrupting or overloading the app.

We may block or remove accounts or groups that break these rules.

Availability and liability

We do our best to keep HouseTurns working well and securely, but we cannot guarantee that the app is always available and error-free, or that notifications always arrive on time. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from using the app, such as a missed booking. If we are liable nonetheless, our liability is limited to direct damage and to a maximum of €100. This limitation does not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness on our part.

How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms. We will let you know in the app about important changes. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the District Court of Overijssel, Zwolle location. As a consumer, you may also bring a dispute before the court of your own place of residence.
